Sheriffs Bark Like K9 Dog to Get Suspects to Surrender

When Tacoma, Washington, sheriffs needed to stop underage suspects allegedly stealing a vehicle, they got creative. Pierce County Sheriff’s Department deputies first tried to stop the car using a spike deployment. Although all four tires went flat, the suspects still got away. So officers used an interesting tactic to scare them out of hiding — barking like K9 dogs. Inside Edition Digital has more.

Growing up in NJ, in the 70's and 80's, the local town cops would do this all the time!! They'd bark and threaten to "release" the dogs, which they didn't have... lol. Worked every time!

I lived in Tacoma for 16 years, and had good experiences with the police. I miss that place. The barking tactic was creative and hilarious as well. I'm glad they caught the thieves.
