I don't like this scene. Other movies about Cleopatra have handled this moment much better. This is supposed to be one of the moments that impresses Julius Caesar which will then lead Caesar to support Cleopatra and fall in love. Why would this Caesar be impressed by Cleopatra if he saw through the trick immediately? It makes it even stranger when all of a sudden Caesar is later shown to be enamored with Cleopatra. A better take on this scene (in my opinion) is the way they did it in the 1999 television movie Cleopatra starring Leonor Varela. That scene was done way more believably
