I tried it with an android phone and it didn’t work. When I tried with my iPhone it worked properly and got the job done within 3 min.

thanks for the great video, i seem to have a small issue that id be grateful if you could help me with. - Once successfully set up in stand alone mode I can connect any devices to the new named network providing the AC MESH is still connected to my original network (VIA LAN). The moment I remove the lan to actually have it as an independent stand alone point to say use elsewhere or to connect another device via lan it is impossible for my i pad or i phone to join the new stand alone network, it shows up in the available networks and even allows me to input the correct password but will then load with the mac loading icon (not rainbow beach ball) that spins next to the wifi name as thought its about to connect but just keeps loading till it doesn't. any help is appreciated as everything is done as per online/these videos etc just not sure why i cant connect to it when its not plugged into the network it was set up via.

Do you need a cloud key or any other ubiquiti product to use these AP’s? Ex. If I set it up with the mobile app or on PC can I then run it off of my netgear switch without needing anything else?

Thank you! Quick question, I am trying to figure out if the following setup will work. We support an Orphanage in South Africa. Recently they have had a rash of break-ins and were asking about setting up security cameras. It is a large area and hard-wiring them would be almost impossible. They currently get their WiFi from a Rain, "The 101" 5G router . I was going to buy a couple of these AC mesh . One of them I would connect to the Network port of the 101, mount it on a pole and point it toward the main buildings. Then I would mount several Eufy WiFi S340 cameras (2.4 GHz0 in strategic locations.
I would install the other Unifi AC mesh at the main building, run a cable down into a router for them to get WiFi.
Question: Would the S340's (2.4 GHz) be able to use the signal being pumped out by the AP or does it have to go through the receiving AP?
