It's not an original Beatles' song, but they made it their own. Dude, your humility is refreshing. Keep the Beatles coming, please.

Beatle fans love the Beatles so much that they can be very particular. Don’t sweat it. You’ll learn. It’s a great journey you’re on. This cover is probably more well known than the original.

There's a great live performance of the song in Manchester, England in 1963 that really illustrates how well this went over to audiences back in the day. It caused all-out Beatlemania.

Great review. People who threaten you are not human and not worth your time. Keep doing what you are doing. Twist and Shout was a hit in 1964 and then again in 1986 where it was in the Top 30.

Thank you, great reaction. Don't let the bad manners of others stop you. With roughly 200 tunes you're just scratching the Beatles surface. Not only did John handle this vocal in one take at the end of the recording session, but he had a bad cold that day and powered through. A few favorites, from earlier to later: I Saw Her Standing There, A Hard Day's Night, I Feel Fine, Ticket to Ride, Nowhere Man, Rain, And Your Bird Can Sing, A Day in the Life, Lady Madonna, Dear Prudence, Here Comes the Sun, Come Together.

Because of it's inclusion in the movie "Ferris Bueller's Day Off", this re-entered the Billboard Hot 100 in 1986 and peaked at #23.

Normally, Beatles fans have "Love, Peace and Music" written all over their faces.
Twist and shout is one of the best covers of the "Fab Four", originally a track for/by the Top Notes / Isley Brothers. There are some wild live versions of this classic, which of course created a great atmosphere at concerts with its orgiastic/energetic chorus. Interesting for the producer: the track was recorded in a single take for the first official Beatles LP.

No true Beatle fan would ever threaten a new listener. Screw them.

Most of the album recorded in one day. (couple of singles were added on) This the last song, and you can hear from the beginning how shot Lennon's vocal cords were.

I seem to remember the reason for John's raspy voice on this was due to a throat infection.

This only made it to number 2 on Billboard's 1964 Hot 100. Number 1 was the Beatles' Can't Buy Me Love. (The whole top 5 were songs by the Beatles.)

Take note of the instruments, Brass, woodwinds, string and percussion.

Beatle fans are supposed to be mellow, peace and love, people. (We do get emotional though.)

Sorry you got haters and there’s no place for threats. No one is perfect. Keep listening if you enjoy the music. And hopefully you’re able to listen to and post the original Helter skelter.

This song is featured in the movie Ferris Buellers Day Off. it’s a legendary scene featuring a legendary cover.
