THIS IS SADLY SO DAMN TRUE!!
Im subbed (i think?) to 2 of these guys that do this type of shit. They walk around and give food out. 1 in particular always has to get a shot of how good the food looks that he's giving away. Its obvious he went to a fancy lunch, got an order to go and then filmed himself giving it away, so he can write it off as a business expense, im assuming.
The other just asks what the homeless person wants which is usually just a soda. Then he goes on about how "you the viewer/donators make helping the less fortunate possible! Its because of all YOU that all these people's lives changed for the
making it so im able to do this full time! You are all doing such great work!! So please donate so we can keep helping and healing, one person at a time" aka givin sprites out and keeping the rest for himself.
Often times they'll go into small mom n pop shops and pull a very similar Schick. And say something like "I just really want to help out all the good people that are struggling, its just the least I can do" then a lot of times the owners will agree to just do it for free because they want to help out, despite needing those sales. If you're the youtuber thats making enough in this area of content, to not have to hold down a regular job, then you need to be paying for all the food you order and not putting it on the small businesses to eat that cost because they have a camera in their face.

So fking accurate, they always mention the fact “ oh it’s for the homeless! “ and sometimes bc of the pressure of being filmed they actually discount or cover the whole price. Recently saw a video where this guy “bought” 1000$ worth of teriyaki for the homeless and the owner covered the price the guy said “ I’ll give a big tip the next time I come “ and proceeds to give 40 dollars 💀
