What I like the most about those sixties inboard takes is how you see the suspension work.

He was Senna's hero ... Senna had a painting commissioned of all the F1 world champions and he told the painter to save the middle spot for Jim Clark ... in 1965 Jim Clark won the F2 championships of France and Great Britain, the southern hemisphere Tasmanian championship, Indianapolis 500 by 2 minutes on his first attempt and the F1 world Championship ... he still holds to this day more grand slams than any other driver (8), he still holds the biggest ever victory margin in a F1 grand prix of 5 minutes .. He once drove an F1 race and won with one hand on the stearing wheel and one on the gear lever because the gears kept slipping ... and there are more story like this ... when his cars were stripped down after a race the parts were still prostine compared to his othervteam drivers car ... He was simply the perfect driver ... need i go on

Back when being a F1 spectator was as suicidal as being a driver

Jimmy was smoth as glass whenever he drove these death machines

Absolute legend and a terrible loss for the racing world

I can't imagine how hard would've been for the families, watching their beloved ones sit on a coffin with wheels on every race, and the relief of watching them finish the race alive. That's extreme
sorry for bad english

Every video of yours looks like it was shot in the late 90's/early 2000's when the reality is much more impressive. This is top tier stuff, i was born much too late to experience this era and I feel like I'm really there with each of your videos. Keep up the awesome work !!

Never thought we could have a 1964 F1 race video with such a high quality ! The fight between Clark and Hill was epic these days..

In 64 I was 11. I remember watching these races on wide world of sports and what a thrill it was. Slot car racing was starting to really catch on and there was one track we went to in my older brothers Austin Healy 3000. The track was totally decked out with scenery and they had weekend races there all the time. My car was a formula 1 painted to look like Jim Clark’s car. Those were the times they were.

This is when F1 cars were proper racing cars. How lovely to see a driver actually changing gears with a proper gear box having to take his right hand off the steering wheel. Superb video. Wish modern day motor racing was this good.

Jim was such a humble soul. By all accounts he is one of the greatest racing drivers ever to grace the circuits and yet on his gravestone it says "Jim Clark - Farmer" before listing his racing accolades.

It's weird to think about, that of the shown drivers Mclaren and Clark didn't even make through to 72, or even the through the sixties in Clark's case. But Brabham and Surtees made into the 2010s, and Moss to 2020, and he was in the very first F1 season.

@1.24 "Leads Graham Hill into the bend". How wonderful that Graham Hill Bend is now so close to where that quote was said

Back when racing drivers weren't the prima donnas they are today. Never saw the great man race as he had died before I was born but Jim Clark was one of the greatest of all time. He could have raced a shopping trolley and he would have won

Thanks for posting these - it really is a transformation in every sense: the more naturalistic colour grading of this makes it seem much more 'real' than any contemporary colour footage

I love it! Jim Clark is one of the most overlooked and underrated racing drivers. I count him as one of the greatest 5-10 drivers of all time. I’ve never seen a driver more respected by fellow drivers, mechanics, team owners, and fans than he was. And this was before his death. It is sad to think of what he may have achieved, what his legacy would be, had he not been lost in ‘68.

Jim Clark is the single greatest driver of all time and nobody can convince me otherwise
