Roshar | The Cosmere 101

In the Cosmere there are, of course, many planets that have Shards invested on them. Some of these planets are young and newly created, like Scadrial. Some have a single Shard invested, like Nalthis. Others have two Shards that have both been splintered, like Sel.

But there is a planet on the Cosmere that is small, yet feels so massive. There is a planet on the Cosmere that is ancient, but always feels new. There is a planet on the Cosmere that not only has three Shards invested on it, but where one of those Shards has been splintered, one was forcibly locked in to that planet, and the other is scheming behind the scenes to achieve things we could only guess at. A planet that has drawn the attention of many worldhoppers and some mysterious organisations.

I’m talking, of course, about the planet of Roshar.

Now, to cover some basics, Roshar is a planet in the Cosmere and one of thirteen planets in the Rosharan system. It is also the name of the supercontinent that contains all of the planet's known inhabitants and is the second planet from the system's sun, orbiting between Ashyn and Braize. The people from Roshar are called Rosharans and at night they can see the planet’s three orbiting moons.

But there must be more to this planet, of course. What about the Geography? The Ecology? The History, Culture, and Society? Well in this video, we’ll delve into all of that and more.

Good video as is most of the content you put out. I will say though that the VHS overlay is distracting and making it hard to watch your videos. I recently found your channel after starting the Stormlight series because I was looking for more details on that world and your older videos didn't have it and they were great but I'm not sure I can watch more with this VHS overlay. Just my opinion and not trying to be rude.

Good video, but the VHS effect is pretty terrible. It actually ruins the beautiful artwork. There’s not a single shot of artwork without the ugly VHS flickering. Sometimes, it goes completely dark, whyyy…

Shame about the good writing, you should really reconsider this decision imho.
