I love how immediately obvious it is that they took the line from the middle of the verse and completely missed any sort of context

When he says my gun might blow he’s talking about suicide. That’s why he said “I’m at the preachers door, my knees get weak..” he was looking to find god to cure him of his depression but the threat of suicide is always lingering.

the bright side for them is that these people are immortalized by kendrick in a way they never could have pulled off themselves

“The free market decides”

Ok. Kendrick won a Pulitzer Prize and To Pimp a Butterfly has been regarded as one of the greatest albums of all time.

I’m gonna go out on a limb here and say this is one of the most racist moments in contemporary television for all of the history three white people smoosh up into under a minute just to come to the conclusion rap is the causation to violence rather than poverty.

She said she doesn't like it because it doesn't excite her turn her on or interests her. Well duh, the message wasnt supposed to. it doesnt pertain to her so of course it doesnt "excite" her.

Fox: Let's get an attractive young female to sell our crusty viewpoint
Me: It doesn't turn me on, it doesn't interest me, I'm not feeling it

I just love Kendrick singing this in Alright, these newscasters trying to take him down, then he just takes their bs and puts in the next album. I want to know if they've listened to it by now...

They just ignore the meaning behind the music. Some rap isn’t like country music-where you listen to a banjo, full of lyrics on how you screwed your cousin in a back of a tractor. Some of it has meaning. Kendrick’s songs are pure poetry that tells us of the inequality people face to this day.
