"I wrote this song in Malibu years ago on a piano in a house that no longer exists. About my dog Mary Jane who is also gone now.

A lot has changed over time. Mostly me.

Music is my medicine. This song revolves around loss & heartache. Which I am currently experiencing after Mary Jane’s passing.

MJ was a true queen. She wore her grace, dignity & kindness like a crown. She will never be forgotten and will forever be missed. To know her is to love her. It has been my honor being her mom and best friend.

I’ll admit I’ve never been a Miley fan, until I saw her performance of “heart of glass”, and then “man eater”. I’m totally convinced that she will be my new favorite artist. After watching this video, it is not only my new favorite song, I realized that celebrities hurt just like the rest of us. The pain i felt when seeing this brought back memories of my baby boy that I lost 2 years ago. Such little souls have such a big impact on our lives. It is a beautiful song. They are on our lives for such a short time. But in our hearts forever.

She was really missing Liam and was struggling when Mary was passing away and he wasn’t answering her phone calls. They have a bond. It’s so sad that they couldn’t work it out.
