Factory reset/Soft reset an LG TV

If your TV is acting up or you are looking to sell, you may need to factory reset it. Before restarting the TV, I recommend trying a soft reset first. If you need a reboot to fix an issue, try these first:

1. Hold tv power button for 10 seconds (no remote needed)
2. Unplug the TV from the wall for 60 seconds
3. Hold the power and volume button (I couldn't get this one to work, but worth a shot for you)

Now, if that didn't fix your issue, you may need a factory reset. You will lose all apps and passwords and the TV will revert back to the day you bought it.

Steps might vary by TV, but try this:

1. Open settings menu
2. Select All settings or advance settings
3. Select General
4. Select system
5. Select reset to initial settings.

The power down and vol up button for 15 seconds help me with my LG 55UN69, it was running sluggish and slow to command. After doing this, ,it repsoned more quickly with the remote.

Try the power button on c3 . Nothing happened. Only turn off the tv

Please help. Have a lg super uhd tv with the magic remote MR650A. How do you re-register the remote if the message "Bluetooth service needs to be initialized" when pressing the wheel/ok button.

I moved my TV to a new house, and apparently I damaged it somehow. The TV, which is an LG CX 48, shows a single vertical line and then it turns off about two seconds after I turned it on. Nothing seems to be able to reset anything, I can bring up menu or anything.
