Chord 7 is diminished until you add the 5th note of the scale to transform it into a dominant seventh which acts as a perfect cadence in the home key. In this case G7.

I have no understanding of any theory whatsoever but with that being said I I know how to play songs on guitar somewhat, I play a lot of thrash and metal core and I can do it well but there is no understanding the chords behind it other than when there are notes that are difficult to stretch my hand to make I can scale down to make it easier just like how you demonstrated or by just playing around and playing the major scale you demonstrated. But YOU make it make a lot of sense so thank you for the video 😊
