Hey Peg, I just recently found your excellent channel and love it. I am a big reader and book fan. I like just about all genres in books, but history is my favorite, especially military history. It really makes me happy to find a fellow military history buff. Which sometimes is a not PC subject as you know. So I love to see whole episodes featuring the history of conflict. I get tingles up and down my spine when I see those large tomes of history you hold up. That is my idea of a great read, nice and thick with a lot of footnotes. What I really like about your channel is it gives me a great idea of what is out there and new upcoming books. Well keep up the great work. You have really Pegged the history field, sorry I could not resist. How can I forget, on one of your episodes you mentioned you were a vet, well thanks for your service. Take care.

Also, the word you were looking for for Pegasus mistake on planes and plains is homophones: Two words that sound the same but mean something different and spelled differently. Onomatopoieia is words that are represented by a sound, for example buzz, woof, etc. 😉

I am reading Prairie Fires by Caroline Fraser. I am interested in the Little House TV show and this examines the complex true story of (mostly) Laura and her life.

There was an excellent PBS documentary made about Laura Ingalls I recently watched. Her and her daughter helped kick off the Libertarian movement in America; which I was unaware of.

I'm hoping to finally get to some of my History Book Club picks from the nineties for Historathon 2023. They getting a dusting off anyway. I belonged to all those clubs, plus the record clubs. Bought a lot from Hamilton too. A glorious time.

I did not buy the Hoover book because of the remark on the blurb that white supremacy is a conservative value. History books are getting more and more woke, like everything else.
