I like how the table saw you made is basically upgrading itself in the process! I think you should've made two rails, instead of one, one for both side the ensure the fence will not be moving, especially at the other end where lever arm is greater. Otherwise excellent build! Good idea, but there's the introduction of flex to the far end of the fence. It would need to have rails and fasteners at each end, both requiring individual adjustment.

Without a clamping mech on the other side, would your fence not flex if you were to rip a long board?
