Empower.ED Ghana: Bridging the Educational Gap through Mentorship and Transferrable Skills

The Center for Civic Engagement and Community Service (CCECS) at the American University of Beirut organized the #AUBEngage_2024: Showcasing Student-Led Community Interventions on April 29, 2024. This event showcased 19 projects designed by AUB students addressing societal challenges in Afghanistan, Algeria, Burundi, Ghana, Egypt, Iraq, Jordan, Libya, Lebanon, Morocco, Palestine, Syria, Tunisia, Uganda, Yemen, Zimbabwe, and Zambia. Panel four was titled " Education in Times of Crisis", moderated by Dr. Rima Karami, and featured the following CSP teams:
1- Empower.ED Ghana: Bridging the Educational Gap through Mentorship and Transferrable Skills presented by Mastercard Foundation scholars Haajaratu Alhassan and Kumuriwor Bushiratu
2- Engineering Retention: Robotics-based STEM Education in Public Schools
3- Refugee Virtual Academy: A Preparatory Program for Higher Education
