Thanks Rudy for explaining clearly the differences. One advantage for me shooting wildlife is obviously the silent shutter on my R5 is Electronic mode. Cheers Keith

All Canon IBIS with fully mechanical shutter fall down between 1/100 - 1/200. Go slower and it's sharp, go faster and it's sharp as well. Odd phenomenon.

That's why I use EFCS till 1/400. From 1/500 I use mechanical shutter.

Canon, can you explain it? Can you fix it?

Good explanation. Unfortunately, the background music was so loud, it was difficult to hear the narration.

so - it looks like electronic shutters have a lot of 'drawbacks' ---
"flash is usually not possible with electronic shutter "--- ?? Mirrorless cannot work with flash or strobes??

 rolling shutter Distortion can be visible with both fast moving subjects traveling across the frame
 or if you quickly Pan the camera sideways to follow a moving subject
 in artificial light it's possible to see visible uneven banding at faster shutter speeds and
 flash is usually not possible with electronic shutter --- ?? Mirrorless cannot work with flash or strobes??
