To be fair many religions forbid the consumption of alcohol (Islam, Hinduism). Some forbid the consumption of meat( Hinduism, Buddhism) and even some vegetables and fruits(Jainism).

As a Catholic (not mormon) we always learned that Mormonism was barely even Christian AT ALL, like it’s Christian when you look at it from an angle of not knowing anything about them, but when you actually look at what they believe in and what John White (I thinks that’s what his name was) and what he wanted to do it looks like a genuine cult like dude some of their beliefs are the complete opposite of what it says in the Bible, look into it if you wanna learn more

I live in Michigan so thankfully we dont have a large, outspoken Mormon population here. There was one mormon girl i went to high school with who was originally from Utah though. Ill never forget walking into class with a coffee and the first thing she told me was that I would go to hell if I drank it. Like damn Melanie, its 7:15am. Its WAY too early for this.

She wasnt happy when i stared directly into her eyes and took another sip.
