Last year I was so stressed and down that I lost 45lbs in 3 months and had terrible hormonal acne, all I did was sleep and cry. This year I’m becoming my best self, eating good, hitting the gym, tracking my cycle, cutting out toxic relationships... Also, I never liked reading but The Silent Feminine Power by Lana Cressel saved me. Great video and thank you for sharing!

Step 1 is so true. this is what was stopping me from changing.. I expected to completely change myself and even 1 mistake would make me feel like a failure and then I would be like “screw it, let’s binge eat today and go for perfection again tomorrow” and then perfection wouldn’t come again… never ending cycle

As a registered dietitian I thank you so much for giving evidenced based advice to your community that is sustainable. Initially I was a little apprehensive as often doctors give slightly rouge nutrition advice!!

8:00 This is the most practical and honest guide I’ve seen—finally, someone talking about real-life habits, not just perfect routines. 2025 is the year for real change!

I'm also a resident doctor and have been loving your videos! It's super impressive how amazing you manage your time between work, filming and editing youtube, fitness, and social life! I feel like my days just flew every time I finish my shift and I can only do one thing after work and then its bed time😭 I know you've done videos on time management but I would love you do a video on breaking down your day doing each activities- like how long you spent in the gym each session, how long it takes to edit one video etc?

love you, for how far you've come, love you for showing every step of the way, for showing all the struggle of living alone and studying. I follow you since before i tought I wanted to go to med school. I am now a vet student and don't see myself following any other path, but, as you can imagine, I struggled a lot as one does, and I still do. Watching you now, so grown, healthy, informed, and happy (!), makes me hopefull that I will too. Lots of love

Love how this breaks things down without overcomplicating it! 🔥 Too many people get overwhelmed by ‘perfect’ routines. This is such a realistic and motivating approach! 💚✨

About processed foods, the texture is also important... The more you chew, the less you eat 😊. Little experiment : Buy 10 apples. Out of 5 of them, make applesauce. How much did you eat in one sitting ? Now eat your 5 other apples. How much did you eat this time ? Chances are, you finished all the applesauce in one sitting, but could only manage 2 apples, depending on the size. But both only require 1 ingredient : apples ! Keep that in mind when building your plates... Have something that needs to be chewed in every meal. Avoid shakes and soups without a side, especially if you have them as a main meals (a small smoothie after a workout is not a crime😂)

Eat for health rather than weight! The weight loss is a side effect! Prioritize protein, we don’t eat enough, and it’s very satiating. I eat low carbs (sugar), prioritize protein and don’t fear fats! I enjoy preparing and planning my week on my day off. Planning is everything.
Exercise is paramount for optimal health….

Dr Faye, thank you for all the wonderful content you put out. From the hardwork, editing and time put. It is so clearly seen. Your work is appreciated.

3:03 i think you're talking about ultraprocessed food, because simply a fryed/boiled egg is processed (it was under a PROCESS of COOKING), but chocolate bars and chips are ultraprocessed cause it's salt and sugar and other things you've talked about added to it

Hello Dr.Faye. I would love to hear what books did you read, that would be awesome. Maybe making a video of it to show what books are the best ones iyo. And whenever you read a book, good or bad sharing your opinion in tiktok, instagram, or wherever is convienent for you. You are my latest obsession recently and I love you, xx.

I love this new format of informational sit down lifestyle videos but I think I miss your old vlogs and your more day to day videos where we would come w you on an adventure, I know its not easy to vlog your life anymore as you are a doctor and there is sensitive patient info but I think it would be so cool to see if there was any way you could! and maybe making these informational videos but in more of a vlog style such as this is wha Tim doing for breakfast bc of point a, b, c and then info and rationale behind it, I think I just miss your vlogs and am not used to so many educational sit down videos but I love you, your videos have kept me sane for years and I always appreciate the outlook you bring to us

Yes! I used to restrict and fast and then I’d tell myself that I could binge since I had restricted. I now eat in a calorie deficit with exceptions for my cravings. This has helped me lose more weight than my ED could have ever. I thank you so much for telling other people that this lifestyle will get nowhere and ultimately make you gain more than when you started it.
