We need a new method of propulsion that will transport spacecraft faster than ever before. NASA is one of a few agencies developing a new way to sail through space, on the power of the solar wind.

Please note that the E-sail and the solar sail are two different things. The E-sail is pushed by the solar wind, not by photons.

this video doesn't know what it's talking about. The electric sail is not powered by photons, it is powered by charged particles from the sun. I learned this from more detailed videos...
