I love this. Grew up in a family of railroaders here in Maryland. My dad was an engineer on the Western Maryland Railway. We were great model railroad enthusiasts but I felt a little melancholy watching this because I think he would love this and may have even volunteered at some point. What joy for me from watching this. Thank you.

Excellent footage and detail . Thanks,
Stuff like this needs to be better documented in Digital HD so it can be remembered forever .

Very nice! My daddy built a 3, 5" live steam loco from the Netherlands Railways. He sadly passed away 10 years ago but is was always fun firing and driving his steam loco.

Been through Chiloquin Oregon at least 60 times when I traveled from Alfalfa/Bend Oregon to Ashland Oregon to visit my mom and brother. I have seen the signs but never knew how great this place would be to visit. Now at 74 living many miles North in McMinnville Oregon I cannot stand for more than five minutes due to a nerve condition and three doctors say they have no idea what it is Long distance travel is painful. So sad..

Be cool to see some painted portrait cars. Meaning you ever seen a train painting stop by bison's? It will be cool to see that kind of stuff on trains/cars, you also can do fallen hero's.

I hope to take at least one of my locos there some day, despite the fact it is at least a 4 day drive.

Technically speaking, both vertical boiler locos are 0-4-4-0s and not 0-8-0s, due to there being two 4-wheeled bogies and not one 8-wheeled one. (19:30)

Are there going to be signals on the gantries at hairpin junction in the near future?

wit, quick question, i wanna bring a few WP&YR narrow gauge engines and cars to train mountain for a triennial when i can get them built, just wanted to know the car limit behind an engine for Train Mountain triennials such as these ones. and whether or not i could run the trains in winter and drive them through snow ploughing the snow clear of the tracks, are people allowed to do that too??
