Difference between D Visa and Schengen Visa?
Hello friends my name is Chandra Shekher and in today’s video I will tell you the difference between a Schengen C Visa and D Visa. Any of the twenty seven countries of Schengen Zone can issue a Schengen Visa, it can be for tourism, business meeting , attending a conference, for meeting a relative or a friend. With a Schengen visa you can only stay in Schengen zone for a maximum of 90 days however if you want to stay for more than 90 days you will require a D Visa.
A,
D visa can also be called National Visa. A D visa is issued with a purpose, for example a D Visa of Poland can be issued if you are going for studies or work or you are starting your own business or going for family reunification.
Suppose your spouse is already there and you are going to join him or her, for D Visa there should be a purpose
Now let’s see what is the difference between two first thing is this that on Schengen Visa you can only stay for maximum 90 days with D visa there is no such limit , on D Visa you can study, you can work but on Schengen Visa you cannot work, please remember this. I will repeat again D visa is issued to Students, workers , for family reunification or for running business these are the general conditions. D Visa is also called national visa the rules for Schengen visa and D visa are different. D Visa is national visa and the rules of that country where you are going for work or study apply. There is one more thing, on D Visa you can work as a student or worker but you can’t work on Schengen visa, this I am repeating again. If you have D Visa of a particular country and you keep on extending your residence permit, you become eligible for PR of that country depending on the rules of that country. Schengen Visa cannot be generally converted to Temporary Residence Permit, although it is possible in some countries but in this video we are not talking about those countries we will do separate video on that. So that was the difference between Schengen C Visa and D National Visa. I hope you liked the video, please subscribe my You Tube Channel. Thanks for watching.
