Показать описание
This video lesson covers the development of penicillin, the first widespread antibiotic medicine. The lesson features the discovery of penicillin by Alexander Fleming, then its later development and production under Howard Florey and Ernst Chain during WWII. It concludes with a source-based exam question.

The lesson is intended to support the Edexcel GCSE History Specification, but will probably be useful for other exam boards too. It should last about at 100 minutes, depending on the detail and depth to which tasks are completed.
