4 months in and I'm having my first trim, I wanted to show you how I have it trimmed and why I think it's useful to have an early trim while growing your hair out (especially an undercut) Also, thanks to my mum for getting involved n being a ledge x

Nailed it. I’ve been getting it trimmed every 6 weeks - just removing bulk and length. I’m 6 months in now and will move to every 10 weeks but it’s kept me motivated as it doesn’t look like a frizzy mess.

this is really helpful! i’ve bene growing my hair out due to covid, but i always wanted to do it anyways. my hair only reaches my noes after 4-6 months, and since i’ve never grown my hair out for this long of a period and i suck at styling my hair, i’ve been thinking maybe its overgrown too much and thats why it looks weird. seems like i actually still have more to go! this video by itself raised my confidence because i’ve been wanting to pull off a slick back hairstyle which requires really long hair on the top so it doesn’t just fall to the side like it continues to do with mine. also my mullet area grows really fast and outwards due to my asian hair, so i’ll probably try out the same method you did for that, and also on the ears! i hate the small hair in front of my ears because they never stay behind my ears when i pull the hair over! this video is super helpful so thank you

My mum woke me up this morning asking if I wanted to get a trim today because I was asking her. The issue was I was not fully sure how I wanted it done. Quick breakdown of my hair prior to growing it out. I had a mid drop fade with front curls and my hair was at eye level straight. Now 6 months later, it is down to my lip and I haven’t had a haircut since then.

This video helped me with a much better understanding of what to do.

Dude's got some great hair. The male patterned baldness on my crown hates you right now. Going in for my first PRP treatment in an hour. Hopefully the first and only step to get some of this mane back.

I got a question, how do you get your sides to stick like that, mine will just be fluffy looking and sticking out

Thanks for the video mate, was kind of hesitating when it came to the back, trimming it or not, but now I think I'll do it, and the little triangle, never thought of it, but it does make quite a lot of difference.

Hey man I'm growing my hair out from an undercut as well and I'm about 3 months in! I'm gonna get this mess trimmed up because it does turn into a bit of a mess after a while! Keep the updates coming and loving the vids!

Hadn’t cut my hair since quarantine started but I just did. My face just wasn’t made for hair styled up

Hi, I needed that advice since I'm at that awkward stage now. Thanks !

Easiest thing is to just let the fringe and top grow fairly long. But until the front reaches the nose keep the back and sides shaved short. They will catch up quick because the hair is being (presumably) trained back and will take a long time to reach down the back of the head. Training it back is a pain when your hair has been naturally growing forwards, best bets a clay pomade until it grows long enough to stay put under it's own weight. Would also recommend a headband when you sleep, keep it trained back for 8 hours.

THANK YOU! At the three month point and going in tomorrow. And I thought I wasn't going to have to do anything! I'll feel a lot better after a trim.
