Edit: usually people thrash these cars and they end up abandoned due to improper maintenance, plus even though the *TOYOTA* isn’t my cup of tea, I still see how these cars are iconic and must be preserved.

Kinda the same thing for me. My grandpa bought a 1989 E30 316i in the late 90s for around 11000 Finnish marks (~2000€) and now its mine and its worth around 8000-10000€
