To commemorate the 4th of July Independence Day, here is the basic but nice elevator at the Americana Office Building in Austin, Texas, made by Dover in the US. Aside from being from the late-60's, it's hard to believe that this elevator is still working very well 50 years late. Indeed one can't beat a Dover elevator for reliable equipment, aesthetically pleasing cabs, and high quality elevators. In a nutshell, I hope that this elevator will NOT get modernized.

Specifications:
General-Dover/Inground Hydraulic.
Performance-1500 Lbs/15 HP.
Distance-25 feet/3 floors & 100 FPM.
Year-Installed/1967-1968.
Fixtures-Vintage Dover Traditional.
Cab-White suspended ceiling fluorescent lighting, brown carpet side/mirror rear walls with cherry trim & 2" diameter brushed bronze handrail, gray carpet floor, and brown car doors/lobby doors/jambs.

Indeed, the Roman Numeral floor indicator may look makeshift, but it certainly is unique.
