This is the RARE, AMAZING, VINTAGE Dover Hydraulic Elevator at 127 Abercorn St. In Savannah, GA. I first want to wish Oregon Elevator Fan (Riley) a very HAPPY BIRTHDAY as today is his birthday, so of course I'm going to dedicate a vintage Dover Elevator to him for his birthday to celebrate. This elevator has the VERY RARE NON ILLUMINATING Black Traditional fixtures that were made from 1968-1971 before the Black Halo Traditional and White Push In Traditional were invented. This elevator is pretty amazing and VERY EPIC. On the second ride when going down, I started going down and it jolted and stopped hard and went down at leveling speed to 2, and I thought I was stuck, but still a VERY EPIC ELEVATOR!!!! I hope it NEVER gets modernized!!!!!

Installed: Late 1960s or Very Early 1970s

Read the description about it going down at leveling speed. There's one elevator that I have been on that has a tendency to go down at leveling speed and the first time it happened I thought I was stuck.

Did it really brake at the end? Why did you think you were stuck when you were going down?
