Sorry for the short video, as it turns out...the game doesn't do a whole lot for the "completion" of HHP! I wish there was more to show, but sadly not!

Not having a special reward for all 400+ houses is such a Nintendo thing to do. Reminds me of the Korok seeds or filling the encyclopedia in BotW or the Moons in Mario Odyssey. I guess the reward is a feeling of completion…. Or dread, as you said.

Kinda sad the game doesn’t do anything after completing all these houses or at least use the beach space for the residing villagers. Instead you get an empty front beach area… Either way, huge props on committing to all of this and sharing your findings c:

I've never thought about what happens when you decorate all of the villagers' HHP houses! I've done around 150 and I can already see a difference in how many repeats of villagers show up on the beach or the café/restaurant (well, it makes sense, but it never occurred to me it would be so obvious not even halfway through the 400+ characters!). Seeing the beach so empty is very eerie and borderline creepy! 😂I can't imagine the time wasted in loading screens or just setting up the plots, let alone the editing time for this video! Great work as always!

the many of the same species thing sounds like how villagers are summoned for mystery islands, by type and species. As you go through literally everyone, maybe some species get eliminated from the selection pool, making situations where the same species is rolled over and over

Huh, I always thought moving queue doesn’t matter on HHP island, and you can find any villagers, except your own. Interesting.
P.S. Will you do any new acnh speedruns? Like getting all KK songs, or getting photos of all of your 10 villagers?

Like others have stated, I do wonder if anything special happens if you do ALL homes, including non-villager NPCs.

I also did this and noticed there were 3 villagers that never showed up. Ed, Zell, and Kid. Also noticed that if you keep ignoring villagers they are more likely to show up which eventually leads to them always showing up the next day no matter what. I kept ignoring Rodney which lead to him showing up every day for my last maybe 50-100 days. PS I did one house a day so they reset once for every villager I did.
