As a frequent liar this helped me a lot

Actually it DIDN'T help me I just lied about it

Bad liars do this. You'll rarely know when a good liar is lying

I do that a lot even when telling the truth. It’s like “why would you assume it was me” or something like that

She says it with soo much conviction, but some people literally just talk like that.

I do it unintentionally when telling the truth.

Patterns aren't reliable because in all situations are always different. Yes, that's a fact 👏

I have been lying my whole life and I have never doubted myself when giving an answer. Everything has to do with how confident you are when you say something and you would be surprised.

I do this when I'm NOT lying but am a little bit surprised by the question. Go with your guts, people!

I also use the question inflection just generally when responding, especially when I think the question is dumb. It’s because I want to say, “no, why tf are you asking me??” But I also don’t want my parents to hear me swearing, so I cut it off after the “no” or the “why”

The question inflection can suggest a lie, but it very often doesn’t happen when lying, and it also happens quite a lot when not lying. If they’re lying, they are more likely to use a question inflection, but it in itself is not able to determine whether someone is lying or not, you need to use other factors as well. Just thought I’d mention this, because the way she’s saying it, it makes it sound like anything that isn’t a question with a question inflection is a lie, when it’s not

I actually use to be a private detective for over 30 years. And I’ll tell you this. A good liar will NOT be caught easily. Yes people lie everyday but you’d be surprised how well the professionals can lie with 0 remorse. And yes I’m lying to you right now 😏

This is true I’ve picked up on it many times when people lie

I use this even when telling the truth. I answer questions with another question because i am sick of people asking stupid questions.
