We first go over the basic terms of a rope, and then:

The Square Knot
The Sheet Bend
The Double Half Hitch
The Tautline Hitch
The Truckers Knot

I use the trucker knot a lot. I prefer to secure it with a slipped half hitch. It holds plenty tight and is fast to readjust the tension.

cool. I used the trucker's knot often but never knew how to tie it off to keep it tight. Always end up with a rat's nest of knots

Just so everyone knows these are easy knots but they are not for people to hang on repeling or anything. There are other knots you can use to get more power. The square knot will weaken your rope by 50%. If that rope hits max it's max load weight which at that point is half, when it breaks it'll break at that square knot. I suggest a double fisherman knot which is easy and will give you 95% rope strength
