I appreciate that y’all did a review of this game because last night I had a dream about this game (but I’ve never played it). This might be a nice contrast to a lot of the cutthroat deep strategy games that I tend to favor with my game group.

There is a simple variant on BGG called "the border" that helps with the slow deck cycling, allowing you to see a few more cards in the hopes of getting those combos.

I can’t believe I still don’t have this game in my collection. It’s rated so highly on BGG. Gobs of charm, and some of my favourite mechanisms. I think my twin 12 year old girls would dig it too. :)

This is a great solo game! AND this is one of my favorite games. I only play games solo and this one is a lovely, zen-like experience. I think it is well worth mentioning its solo mode. In the end, you did give it a positive review, but in case anyone really likes the look of this game but not sure they would like playing it with others, I would say get it to play solo. I find none of the cons mentioned in the gameplay and game design come up in a one-player situation, imo. :)

There are also levels to play in solo mode to increase the difficulty as well as an expansion pack that offers cards and meeples for Rugwart the rat, the AI that you play against.

I'm really enjoying your channel. Lovely in so many ways. I look forward to seeing more. Perhaps you can credit the art/illustration in your reviews, not just the publisher and designer (since you take the time to do it, which not everyone does).
