NPH's acting was really good.
At first it was pure and raw confusion, with a glimmer of hope.
But when Robin shook her head, the confusion turns into denial, and in splits seconds, reality hits. Made it too difficult to even stand up.

Crazy that it was just a few seconds but we can see the steps of emotions changes from NPH

Unpopular opinion here, but Robin and Barney should have stayed together. They were so similar and grew a lot together as friends and partners. I hated that we watched so many episodes about their wedding and the days leading up to the wedding, for then to see them going through a divorce in a flash forward in one of their wedding episodes, which was also one of the final episodes. I think we only got to see one scene with them in their marriage, where they decided to get a divorce. Why write their wedding in one of the final episodes, if they were not meant to stay together. The writers didn't give us any closure about their relationships.
