I genuinely loved and hated this scene. Both in the book and in the show. Johnathan just wanted to feel love and a connection to his family, his father and mother hated him so he latched onto the love Clary gave him, it was a toxic love between the brother and sister but in the end Johnathan felt the love of his sister even though she had to kill him so that he could be free, it was sad the way Clary had to kill her brother, she loved him truly, it qas a heartbreaking scene and well plaued out.

yes he is right because he choose nothing.
Everything happens because sister is busy protecting world but never try to protect brother.
When she find out jace is brother she is fighting with mother. Because she spend time with him and release his true self.
But she was so busy so never spend time with actual brother.
If I was their i will choose my brother. If he is wrong I will try to change him. But he wrong still I choose my brother. I want to be kumbkarn not vibishan.
When ever he forced her to spend time with him. She always cheated him. Playing mind games and at end she play again.
Think about it a child abandoned by his mother because his father experiment on him then father because he can’t handle him. Sister because she wants to be hero.
That people he killed suffer one time death but he suffered many times in every moment.
