Mp3 might be a little large, but instrument limitation makes MIDI a more viable choice.

You would have to find a way to decode the mp3 file since it’s compressed. You would want to use a wav file but you still wouldn’t be able to because of your limited note selection you would need to use a midi file.

kbps is kilobits per second, not bytes. A byte is 8 bits. Also a kilobyte is traditionally 1024 (2^10) bytes, rather than exactly 1000 bytes.

Thats why we had 8 bit and 16 bit sounds, and they sounded differently. And yes they did play even Film Music. (in theyr own rights ;P )
