One of the most requested questions I have had about the DJI MIC MINI is "Does the mic auto reconnect to the camera if the camera is powered off, or goes into standby mode? and what if the Mic is powered off, will it auto reconnect? "
Well lets find out in these series of tests with the NEW DJI MIC MINI !

Within the DJI Mimo app there is a setting (see 2:44) called Power Button for Noise Cancellation. This is supposed to enable/disable the power switch for selecting noise reduction. However, whenever I disable this setting in Mimo app it becomes automatically reenabled after connecting to the camera (in my case Action 4). Does Action 5 behaves similarly? I hope this bug will be fixed with the next firmware.

Great straightforward video, but one scenario is missing: using snapshot video with this mic. Does it pair if mic is on (probably yes, since you tried similar with the camera in standby mode), but how long does it take to start recording audio with this mic? I have DJI 3.5mm audio adapter (for motorcycling as they say) with lav mic, and every time I start snapshot/quick capture I loose first 2 sec of audio since Action 4 records from internal microphone before recognize external one (on motorcycle it is 2 sec of extensive wind noise). First use after longer pause it is 14 (!!!) seconds of "recognizing" microphone... Can you test that?

I have noticed another problem with DJI Mic Mini: the audio meter does not reflect the actual recording in the camera. If you disable the limitter (Clipping Control) and record loud source, the clipping happens right after entering the yellow zone instead of the red one.

1st use today with mic mini and action 4. Everything was paired and tested beforehand. Switched camera off for a few minutes but mic would not re connect when camera was switched back on. Tried switching both devices off and re pair the device multiple times but could not achieve a connection.
Was able to repair later but only after placing mic back in box for a few moments.
This mic 2 did this occasionally but I could generally re pair the devices
