I’ve had my Insta360 X3 for a couple weeks now, and I got it with a couple uses in mind. Yes, I want to make some fun, creative videos with it, but also I want to use it to capture ‘memories’ of places I’ve lived and travelled too. One item on my list is the spot where we spread my best-friend’s ashes after she died. We spread them at her favourite place, which is about a 20 minute walk into the woods and an hour’s drive from where I live. So, I don’t go there very often in the real world. But, I figure if I make a 360 degree video at that spot, say a 20 minute static recording, I can then put on my VR headset and instantly be transported there whenever I’m thinking of her and no matter where I’m living. I’m probably going to move out of the city I’m currently in next year, and plan on taking lots of videos of the city so I can take those memories with me, in 3D.

Love the video! How did you get the resolution so clean? Is it something in editing? It seems like most footage shot on these cameras comes out really grainy or pixelated. Honestly, it's the only thing that's kept me from getting the camera so far.

The software doesn't remove the selfie stick -- it's "hidden" within the stitch line. It's a hardware "feature".

Insta360 used to sell a case called the "dart" with the original first 360 camera... B&H doesnt sell it anymore. About to get the one inch version i think its the rs 360 version plus this one for lowlight and shooting at night.

My first issue to overcome is wind noise. Made some cool recordings on the coast the other week. It was high tide and the waves were crashing in, very beautiful. But also, lots of wind. So can’t hear anything over the wind noise. Any suggestions?
