I bought an X3 and it has taken my bike trail review channel to a whole new level.

I love this camera. I use this camera specifically for riding on my motorcycle to be able to catch EVERYTHING. The beauty of this camera is that you don't have to point it in any direction. Obviously you would want to have it face a certain direction most of the time, but it isn't dependent upon you making sure it is always facing the "right" direction.

The only other "con" (you didn't mention it) is that you have to edit the 360 footage and export it so you can add it to your video editing software. It's a necessary step, but totally worth it, but it IS an extra step in your process.

I have had the X3 for some 8 months now, like you pleased with it. My only gripe is the issue of battery drain due to Bluetooth connectivity being permanently on, meaning you have to remove the battery if it’s left for a number of days.

Thanks for doing this. Gave me a way better understanding of the camera function and features than the manufacturer videos. As someone who owns a DJI drone too, this camera seems like a better purchase than a drone. Draws less attention, basically no restrictions, you get some very similar, if not better angles. Seems like best investment for explorers everywhere. Thanks again.

I have one - fantastic camera, but I dropped it while riding the motorcycle, both lenses were damaged but not the camera. I bought 2 new lenses from ebay and replaced them myself. Now it's back to business!

Nice video!🙂 Looking forward for the divecase video, looking into the X3 but one of the times I will use it the most is for snorkeling/diving and heard alot of problem with the merging for the back and front lense when it go under water, so if the new case fixes that I'll be really happy and will consider it or maby still go with the action 4 🙂👍🏻

Agree that the X3 is the way to go, and i also use it all the time. Unfortunate the new diving case is extremely expensive with 114 euro and shipping of 15 euro. That's just crazy. Also when i sold my X2 and bought the X3 i had to buy new batteries, case, new microphone adapter etc. So i am very afraid if next year's X4 will be launched you again have to buy all new accessories. To me this is extremely customer unfriendly

I have the one x2. Love it. It's well worth the money! I honestly ( for me ) didn't see a reason at the moment to get the x3. But it is still a good camera!

newbie, first time action cam buyer here. Such a helpful video for me - I have seen a bunch of weird arse videos taken with Insta360 and it let me thinking that this camera is just a gimmicky, trick shot thing and that I would get tired of this VERY quickly. The footage you have captured are totally different and given me a totally different perspective on this. I am grateful 😊

I tried an X3 next to my X2 and personally didnt see much difference to reframed footage, X4 hopefully better image quality, but agree they are alot of fun!

I just bought the X3 and your review was very helpful. Can’t wait to unbox and use it. I have GoPro Fusion so I am curious if X3 is better.

My first one lasted 2 months, died, replaced after i sent it to HongKong. Bought a second one. The replacement developed an SD card not found error, after 1 month, other new one had same issue same day, first use. Waiting on 2 more replacements.
Love the functions, reliability is crap.

I just picked up one of these.. I had a false start vlogging a few years ago, Dropping an action cam.. walking back on the trail, walking into the shot.. picking it up again, finding out later it didn't' quite work.. Not being able to do good vehicle shots solo.. Being worried that my nicer camera will get stolen as I drive past it down the road etc. I am hoping this solves a lot of that.

I have two X2s with 5 batteries and many other accessories so the incremental improvements of the X3 doesn't justify an upgrade. Will have to see what the X4 brings. Too bad they don't have an upgrade program.
