Thrilled that you are filming this technique. After almost 60 years of sewing I'm glad to learn something new.

I’m 16 and I’ve been sewing for about 4 years. I just started my first piece of clothing and this video has helped me so so much.

So glad I found you, I love the way you did this collar! I will no longer be afraid of shirts 😀, and I love that after 50 plus years of sewing I’m still learning better ways to do things. Made my day 👍😊💐

I never thought to start in the center and sew to the end when attaching the collar to the stand. It makes so much sense!

I attempted a collar constructed on a simplicity pattern. After 2 days and still unclear, I am here. Ripped off attempted collar, headed to fabric store this afternoon for some extra fabric and fusing. Will follow video instructions step by step. Everything was clear, including understitching! Thank you Sew Sew

29:40 ~ “It’s good to get things done …. have something you can use.”
I love that you stated this; as crafters/perfectionists we can get carried away with the itty bitty little things and forget about the big picture.

SUPERB !!! I was stumped by my pattern's printed instructions for an almost identical shirt collar, but your tutorial in video form demystified it completely, and I really like your method of sewing up the whole collar first before attaching to the short body, as the pattern's approach of doing it piece by piece attached to the shirt first meant that any mistakes on the shirt body could effectively trash the whole front and/or back pieces....Yikes !!! With your method, if I make a mistake on any of the collar pieces, I have much less to lose and more likely to have enough material to redo the collar pieces 😃 Thank you sooo (sew ??) much !!! have a great day.

Really clear instructions. You have demystified sewing a collar with a collar stand. It’s taken me a while to understand how to do it but your excellent close up video was appreciated. Thanks

I LOVE this method. I just tried it on my 4th Archer and it turned out the best yet. Still not perfect but that will come with time. THANK YOU for so generously sharing your expertise .

So thankful that I found this video and found you! This is the only way I do my collars now and they come out perfect every time! Thank you very much. I also do my yokes like you do now. I was also thankful that this was not a live sew a long where there were questions and answers.🤪

Thank you very much for this painless and easy way to sew the collar and collar stand on this aloha shirt!! I always had a hard time sewing the yoke and collar on aloha shirts but now I'm not afraid to sew more! Mahalo plenty from Hawaii!

OMGoodness! I'm so happy I found this tutorial. I'm new to sewing and have never sewn a collar stand. I feel so empowered now and confident that it's going to go easier.
