Project Sparrow | DLX-150B 'Firebolt' Liquid Rocket Engine Test 6

preview_player
Показать описание
In July 2022, Project Sparrow performed the first hot fire test of their regeneratively-cooled DLX-150B Firebolt. The test in which the 3D-printed Ethanol-LOx engine produced 9 kN of thrust for one second at a chamber pressure of 30 bar marked a major milestone for the project.
The next steps will be to continue tweaking the ignition sequence, and increase the durations of tests to further study the cooling of the engine, as well as start increasing the chamber pressure toward the design thrust of 15 kN at 50 bar.

First is fuel. If all good, then comes oxidizer.
