Milwaukee 2nd Gen Stubby Impact Socket Adapter Set Review

These are the new shock wave version of their 1/4" Hex impact socket adapter set. They have the little torsion reduced shank section where the older ones did not, but they do have much better and more defined forgings then the old set had.

I have had these gen 2 for awhile now and have ran some large lag screws with them and have had no complaints

a small but very handy tool. Look forward to the torque test!

I have those adapters, I'm curious what they can withstand, I just saw a video of koon garage and he tested a MAC 1/4 impact to remove up to 200ft and he was using a MAC adapter, I wonder if the Milwaukee can hold that much and how much toque loss to expect

If the *ball* doesn't *fall out* of the Gen II, it *would* be an improvement.

In my opinion, the shorter the better on these types of socket adapters.

1/2 inch drive with 1/4 insert🤔. In the automotive industry it would be like tightening head bolts from a 454 bbc with a 1/4 in. Ratchet with a 4inch handle.

What is your take on the newer Milwaukee impact sockets? I was eyeing their set just because of the lettering but they look a bit thicker than the usual impact sockets I mean most people revert to 3/8" sockets when they can't fit the impact tool or 1/2" sockets are too wide to fit but maybe a little bit thicket for 3/8" is not an issue... I am not sure might need to try them out

I've broken a few of the 1/2 inch with my gen 3 taking off lug nuts here and there

Surprisingly I cannot find a nm rating for these anywhere?

Have they been given a rating or does anyone know their limits yet?

Thank you.

Ijust hurt my self with the 1/2 one :( y shredded my left thumb, i was removing lug nuts on aHonda with the fuel impact driver, and it broke leaving a rain blade sharp edge at the shaft and hit my thumb several times in a second. Uwas using the setting on 3, i hardly use the adapter because ihave a dedicate impact gun, but today i feel like using them, iforgot to mention the socket was a 19mm impact Cr v.

The purpose of a "torsion zone ":
- To allow the socket adapter to suffer the consequences of any excessive force rather than the power tool.
- To allow the breakage of the adapter to occur higher up so that it would be easier to remove the broken adapter.

I was debating giving a thumbs down because he didn't use the Skil cutter to open the package. 😉

There's a reason why EVERY bit manufacturer has a torsion zone in their bits... smaller doesn't mean weaker. .
Dewalt has a 2" too...

Not really a review, more like an “unboxing”

Was using these in my m18 fuel impact and it litterly got stuck took about 30 mins to finnally get it out, bits where shredded to shit and thought my impact was broke ( it wasn’t) I love Milwaukee it’s pretty much the only tools I own but I don’t get why the the MILWAUKKE impacted rates adaptors got fucked up in my MILWAUKEE impact, anyways AVOID THE
