One of the things I wish I knew before playing Genshin impact was that the reputation for each region is all like shared for weekly quests, which means you can only do about 3 quests and 3 missions per week and that it’s better to focus on one region at a time. So that you can claim the reputation rewards for each region and there are some really amazing rewards. It all depends on which region.

Even if you don’t like Amber, remember, this game puts a massive amount of torches and fire monuments in the game early on. 💀
She’s the most efficient lighter, so at least make sure she can survive in domains and over world situations.

My tip I wish I knew when I start
Play every single event you can, especially if it has a weapon on it. I didn’t start playing till after cinnabar spindle came out but I know I wasn’t really interested in the events because my stupid self assumed we’d get the event again eventually . Yes there are some annual events but partake in any you can even if it’s just to get the free primos and crowns

If you want the joy of collecting occuli without the spoilers of a map or checklist, put a manual map marker down each time you collect one from a new region (I use the little clover) - this way once you've explored the whole thing, you can easily cross reference your markers against the checklist and take off all the ones you've already gotten. Saved me so many headaches going into new regions I wanted to see fresh for myself

When it comes to building characters, I farm artifacts based on which characters share the artifacts the most. For example, I’m using Shimenawa and Emblem for at least 5 different characters I want to build, and so even if the artifacts I farm don’t end up working for one character, I can pass them onto another without it feeling wasteful. It’s something I wish I would’ve done with Xiangling (what I’d give to have all that resin back that I spent farming for Crimson Witch..)

Edit: I’ve also been trying to slow down my progress intentionally because I’ve only been playing Genshin for around 6-7 months and I’m starting to feel a little burnt out. I think it’s important to remind yourself that building characters takes time and that it’s okay if a build takes months to truly complete. Remember to prioritize having fun! If you’re grinding and it feels more like work than a game, take a break.

Some of the things I wish I knew when I first started
1) Never risk running out of stamina while gliding. If your stamina is getting low, free fall for a bit and start gliding again. This way you won't run out of stamina as quickly. If you're not experienced in free falling, test it out from lower levels, ie. the teleport on top of the Knights of Favonius Headquarters.
2) Do your dailies!! For the longest time, I was too much of a pussy to do some of my dailies.
3) Mondstadt is the easiest nation to do your dailies in, it is mostly a flat terrain which makes it easy to traverse.
4) Use Sayu's skill to explore (if you have her), it takes a fraction of the time (I said Sayu since Mona and Yelan are five stars and not as easy to acquire)
5) Use the buddy system on Dragonspine. One person goes ahead and fights monsters while one trails behind and lights torches.
6) Barbara is a free character, use her if you don't have a healer
7) Do not spend Mora willy nilly like Zhongli and Venti, NEVER end up broke
8)JUST BECAUSE IT'S A FIVE STAR WEAPON, DOESN'T MEAN IT'S GOOD FOR ALL CHARACTERS
9) Use your Serenitea Pot to gain friendship XP
10) If you're unsure how to build a character, don't feel embarrassed to look it up online. However, use multiple sources to find a common denominator so that you are, in fact, build a good character.

My problem with playing genshin is that everyone looks sooo good to play around that I just wanna level everyone up and play them in different team comps. Even team comps that I would make up. And it ends up with my other actual dps/support characters being underbuilt.

12:52 learn that the hard way after like playing from the beginning like 3 times, if you find an oculi, mark it on the map first after you collect it and continue with your exploration, after you are done exploring and just want to have it completed, only then you use the interactive map and mark all that you haven't found by using different kind of mark. After you 100% sure you got all of them, delete those mark that you already found and the map will have only those you haven't found.

Everytime players join my world and ask for some things they wanna collect, I also ask them to help me challenge domains(the answers depends of them, I don't get mad if they refuse tho) and as the one who requested help, I always use my supports to make their DPS characters deal massive damage, then we always end up finishing domains fast and I also get good artifacts, so Thank you to those who helped me with my artifact farming❤️ (I just got AR45 yet my characters are built great because of those people who helped me)

Edit: Thanks for the likes guys! Never had this much likes on any comments I've done on different content creators' vids❤️

I've only been playing this game for 3 months, I'm glad I held my friend accountable with a finger gun point. In exchange for me playing the game he needs to reply to my questions regularly about certain mechanics and concepts like the pity mechanic and monthly fates

Afterwards, i bugged my little brother and found a Genshin cult in my Uni which helped me get to AR 50 in under a month

I get that. I’m trying to build two teams right now. But now I’m starting to fall into the bad habit of spreading too thin because I’m not getting good artifacts for those two teams

Doro, I love your positive energy and the way you approach both the game and the community. Some creators overhype the game or simply hate on it. You really seem to enjoy learning new things about the game and you're not too obsessed with the meta, so your approach to characters is more laidback and refreshing. I'm happy that you joined the Genshin community. Definitely a breath of fresh air!

Another one I wish someone told me before is DO NOT PULL ON A CHARACTERS BANNER IF YOU DONT WANT THE LIMITED CHARACTER!!! Even if you want the 4 stars remember there is always the possibility to get the 5 star character instead and then you end up with a character you either force yourself to use or bench permanently. It happened to me with Xiao (I had been playing the game for 2 to 3 weeks by then) when he had his rerun along Yelan, I wanted Itto who was coming after and I was "building pity". Never got Itto and I got left with a very underleveled and benched Xiao, I will slowly revisit him some day but man do I dislike his playstyle so much, biggest regret tbh
EDIT: Building pity is completely unnecessary and anyone that tells you otherwise is lying. Saving the primos and spending them when you really want the character is the same as just pulling whenever you can or on a different banner and you save yourself from unfortunate situations. I wish someone would’ve told me that

When a new banner is being released, there is a trial run for the new characters, so you can actually try them out and see if they match your play style. Keep in mind though, that they are usually at the peak of their performance most of the time, so when you do test them out and decide you like them, they may not exactly end up like they did in the trial run did.

For me the biggest mistake was to rush with the world level, ascension rank and to level up the characters (team I'm using). It was like "yes! I can do it with lower lvl" but after that I was struggling to beat even the weakest enemies. So don't rush, take your time. The best thing is to max out almost everything (char, weap, artifacts) before you go to the next ascension quest.

If you get a lot of characters, it makes it fun to use them all until lvl 10 friendship. It forces you to use teams you normally wouldnt and also change tactics when you dont have them built or dont have ideal match ups. Really made my last year of playing more fun

this is the best video for new players honestly. It's easy to watch (it doesn't feel like a lecture), there are really easy explanations and it is just pure chill and also fun. Good job Doro!
