Affordable Wireless In-Ear Monitoring System - U4 from Xvive

The U4 Wireless Monitoring System is a new, budget friendly way to use In In-Ears onstage or in the studio.
Using in-ears is most certainly better for our hearing as we can control volume and reduce the bleed from loud noises (such as cymbals)

U4-eeahh! I use the U2 wireless system for guitar and bass for quite some time and am still very impressed. Dropped the sender once and it had some sort of internal failure afterwards which caused dropouts. Got a pair of new ones by warranty after some weeks of waiting...

Well done and demonstrated. I used it on a show alongside the Xvive U2 guitar wireless both into the back of a EV Evolve array speaker pa. Even though I made sure that both units were on separate channels there was still interference and I had to terminate the U4. Maybe it was my iPhone which was running the EV app for wireless balance/eq for the Evolve. Probaly the 2.4 frequency is too crowded.

big difference in walking meters away pout side in the country than in a city on a stage with all sorts of other wireless frequencies flying around through the air and a lot of serious voltage.

Euphoria. The transmitter power more than likely will not change depending on distance to the receiver and since it is a digital transmission, the receiver input sensitivity will likely not change either. Thanks for a comprehensive review.

“That is a rather sticky outy isn’t it”. Phrasing.

Euphoria...going to check this out more...goal is to use for click/backing tracks live, and in studio for individual mix monitoring.

Watching the drop-test I was like "Oh my god! during the entire flying phase. But it all ended well and yes XVIVE U4 seems to be very resistant. I will evaluate this. Thanks GuitarGeek :D

The best part of this vid is the close-up at the beginning... also the unit itself...

Hi, great, thorough video review! Question: Does this provide stereo monitoring or is it a mono-based system? I see that the sticky-outy adapter is only T-R so that may answer my question. (U-4-ia.)

I was standing in line at Starbucks watching this so I may have missed the price. Thanks for testing it. Euphoric feeling being wireless. Also, thanks for using metric measurements.

Excellent unbiased review Andy.
So, I would like to find an XLR to 1/4" jack, short cable adapter.

That is pretty cool. Must admit, I am tempted as I play live more now!

Can you have separate mixes? For each channel? We are a small band of 3 so if I got one transmitter could we have 3 separate mixes?
