thank you for the tips! I have like 3 fan arts with hyper-realism on my artstation because I think it can show my rendering skills. bu the rests are 10 concept art and illustrations pieces. I have managed to get some gigs from startups, but i haven't got hired on a company-- only unpaid ones.

Putting the best piece of your artwork in the portfolio is a bad thing because you make other artists feel bad about themselves, and you push yourself to produce this level of art every time and not accept less. It also makes your clients' expectations that you can't make less than the worst piece in your portfolio in the worst case, and this is not true ever .

Can I maintain 2 portfolios, one for job seeking or work portfolio and another my growth, ahh portfolio .
