Bought our GE Profile range because of the "15 minute Steam Clean" for the oven and the Air Fry feature - disappointed in both... Had the technician here today to check on both functions. The "15 minute Steam Clean" feature only warms the cup of water in the base of the oven cavity to 125F which really does not do anything... when I tried it I was expecting a big billow of steam in my locked oven but alas - nothing. When the cycle was over - I mopped up the cup of water in the bottom and carried on to clean (scrub) the few spills and clean the splatters on the glass with a non abrasive scrubby. Not a feature that should be promoted in this oven and CERTAINLY not promoted as it was by our salesperson!!!
When going over our owners manual and then watching our buddy show how to use the AIR FRYER mode in the oven on YouTube - what another farce! The Tech showed me that the AirFyer mode does not get up to 400-450 degrees for 8-9 minutes so putting food in "cold" that says to cook for 12-14 minutes - it just sits and gets soggy for 8-9 minutes while the oven is heating up! I just ended up switching the oven over to Convection Bake to even save it! I want this guy in the YouTube video to come to my house and make these chicken wings for my husband!!!
Poor job GE - stop adding features to your product that are not tested and proven in MY HOUSE!
I would also suggest putting rubber bumpers on the grids (3) themselves - the bumpers are on the actual stove top and with the weight of the grids - we have to be ever so careful in lifting them to clean the stovetop without scratching the front stainless escutcheon - just a thought - my last range had bumpers on the bottom of the grids so we didn't scratch the pretty stuff?
I hope this helps you GE and also customers considering this range because of these "cool" features... blessings ~

#1 You don't buy an oven just for the AirFry feature, That is a bonus. We remodeled our Kitchen with a GE Monogram double oven, The Air Fry was a bonus and love the feature. No counter clutter. Note the food should be elevated from the pan to let the air circulate. that could cause a lack of crunch on the bottom. Note I have never jumped on the AirFry bandwagon. But I'm betting there are airholes in the bottom of the basket.

Since the included instructions don’t say much about air frying.. Am I supposed to hear it doing something?

I noticed he place sauce before air frying which according to GE website is a no no, since the sugars in the sauce will burn before the meat is done. Better to apply sauce after or just before removing.

Hello, I recently purchased the slide GE profile air fry range and I love it so far. However, I am not quite sure on the settings for air fry use and time as well as the types of pans or baskets that is used. Can you suggest the size and type of pans that would work for air frying?

I am also still working on trying to find a tray that will work for the dual burners. The one that GE has is sold out. I greatly appreciate any suggestions you can provide. TIA

I have a GE electric airfry and it does not work as advertised. I thought space saving would be nice but still need a counter top model with enough air circulation to "fry"

Too bad it doesn't work as advertised. I was told to set the temp and the same cook time that was as stated on the package. It never comes out properly cooked. I always have to add more time.

I got one of these and the fan only runs for about 30% of the cycle, is it supposed to do that?
