I love how everything is clearly laid out and the way you simplified the horrible parallelogram and polygon law of vector addition using a rectangle was brilliant!
It helped so much, thank you :)

@Pro1RicoV There is a second part tothis lesson called Adding and Subtracting Vectors Part 2. I can't seem to paste the address into this comment. Go to my channel page and select the google sites link and then the link that says, "Grade 12 (University Stream) Vectors Videos (MCV4U)" and you'll see the link to the part 2 lesson.

When adding AB + BC, the head of AB is point B and the tail of BC is point B so they would be head to tail. This just means the head of the first vector (AB) is the same place as the tail of the second vector (BC). Then the sum vector goes from the tail of the first vector (A on AB) to the head of the second vector (BCwhich is at C) which would be AC.

in your example 3)a shouldnt the answer me CA instead of AC since you said that the vectors are to be placed heads to tail? please clarify

really clear explanation, although i think that the parallellogram method is a bit unnecessary.

I'm not sure what this comment means. Can you clarify what you are asking?
Thanks, Al

I like the part where you show how to subtract vectors

example 4 there is a mistake
Speed of the plane will be the resultant factor i.e. the diagonal
and the southward speed will be (root of square of 5 minus square of 2) = Root of 21 = 4.58 m/sec
otherwise excellent explanation
