Just a very respectable rat king listens to a chad’s life story

Honestly, major props to Rekkles for opening up about the diagnosis. I imagine that quite a few of the players in the pro scene may have some form of autism and they may be unaware of it.

Rekkles is just such a good dude. Cool from him opening up about the diagnosis.

This was one of the best, most wholesome things I’ve watched in my entire life. In a toxic masculine ‘gamer’ world, this is what we need more of. Hats off to the both of you.

It is actually nice to hear Rekkles opening up about his diagnosis. Even more so for me i think as i got the very same diagnosis as Rekkles and i have been freaked out about it.

We love to see it. I am especially happy to see this discussion of how diagnosis is actually a really good thing.
People often assume that the autism label will be really bad for someone, but the reality is that somebody like us is going to have the same problems whether they have the label or not. Without the label, it's much harder for them to find solutions, and don't even understand why they have these issues. Having the diagnosis helps a lot. I'm really happy to hear that it's helping him.

He didn't gave up, he embraced the situation (acceptance) what you should be doing i guess

This was exactly how I reacted to my ASD diagnosis. Big respect to Rekkles for seeking out his diagnosis and talking about it.

so happy rekkles was comfortable to speak about this, it feels very validating to hear someone has had similar experiences to me, and it really helps normalize autism, especially in the league of legends community

I made the same transition as Rekkles is trying to make in that I stopped trying to be 'normal' and it did wonders for me and the people I live and work with. I realized that trying to please, adjust or try to be like others actually made me a a less fun person to be around, cause it made me a stressed and frustrated person. I never got tested but it's just something that for me came with age and introspection and I think this advice is very valuable for everyone, not just people i 'the spectrum'. It's simply knowing who you are, accepting it and become a better version for yourself and a a result a better version of yourself.

Having a diagnosis is not only a life saver for a person with autism but also to people around you. I can bet a lot of conflicts in the past wouldn't have happened because people would be more understanding.

Haha, now he makes so much more sense to me! It fits so well... Happy to know that Rekkles is part of the autsitic family, I welcome him! Being open about it is such a good thing for destigmatizing the world. Even I as an autist have a sort of negative stigma connected to being autistic because of how some people talk about people on the spectrum. A living high performer and a legend in the space is an outstanding icon to have.
And now Rekkles himself might get tools to help him reach all his desired goals, even past his league career.

Neurodiversity is a big opportunity. Starting to think of it as a different way of thinking that comes with up- and downsides rather than something negative, is the way to go. So i'm happy he addresses it as such.

Damn that was actually very inspiring, he has such a great approach on the situation and communicated it in such an intelligent way. Autism or not I think we should all be taking notes, because in the end, we all have our ways and tendencies, wether they are on a spectrum or not. Like he said, it's not a malfunction or a problem it's just a part of who we are.

YEET.
