I'm glad Hugh Beaumont gave up the thug life, moved to Mayfield, became an advertising exec, married June and raised 2 wonderful, if sometimes troubling, boys. It just goes to show you if you work hard, you can succeed.

"She was warm but she wasn't exactly sending up smoke signals, ya know what I mean"? My new favorite movie line ever!

"Mr. Cleaver" makes a pretty cool detective! I love Brophy in all his films.

Beaumont was a lay minister in the Methodist Church. During World War II, he was a conscientious objector and served as a medic.

I’m going to rewatch simply to write down all those corny one-liners. Thank you so much for sharing.

Best moment 25:55 on. Hugh trying to do a slick move with the telephone and failing. Director said looks good to me, no retake!
