I've made this cake 6 times already just for a snack after school. I added milk until it was smooth instead of the amount it gives you. I've also learned that the outside cooks MUCH faster than the inside, so it's always a little crispy

Hello, Danish khan - Yes, you may omit the vanilla extract, but the cake will lose it's lovely vanilla flavor. As a substitute, you might use maple syrup, vanilla-flavored milk, vanilla sugar, or scrape out the seeds of a vanilla bean and add them to the cake batter. If using a liquid, replace with the same amount.
