Thank you for your review.

I see another danger in this device:
The inexperienced buyer, for whom this product is intended, may buy this device for backup purposes.
Customer will not realize that he or she is only protected by two or three such drives and not just one single drive.

They will also not realize that with a connected drive, a ransomware attack immediately corrupts that drive as well.

Don't misunderstand me: I bought such a drive myself to try for my customers, but I think the device promises too much for what it can deliver.

For a serous backup you well need three of these devices. Soon after you will realize that you miss a centralized overview. On which dive is what?

This review woke me up a bit and got me thinking has got me thinking. Candidly speaking, my requirements presently do not go much further than a good back up system. In which case the Bee Hub Drive is not quite there, yet . Thank You again.

For my GF the Bee drive is a perfect solution. She uses is to sync photos from her phone to her Microsoft Windows 11 laptop. It is quick and easy to use. The phone will also backup everything to the NAS using Synology Photos. But, and this is a big but, the integration is less convenient to what it used to be with Synology Moments. I personally preferred 'Moments' over 'Photos' because the picture were just available in the Synology Drive user home directory. This is not the case anymore with 'Photos'.

Has anyone cracked open one and see if the m.2 nvme drive inside is upgradable? Is it a 2230 or 2242? It seems weird having released for sometime and there are no teardown picture or video anywhere on the internet...

Nice try, but that Synology device doesn't even communicate with Synology DSM! heheheheee! What a joke!
You're also doing us a disservice by not showing it attached to the laptop constantly. - Nice sleight of hand! Oh well, back to the drawing board! That thing was a rush to market!
