Hi Derral, thank you for the video. I know most people can be annoyed in their busy life to receive too many notifications. They use their email for work and so on. Isn't it a little bit pushy to notify everyone? At the same time you want them to know what you do. I think the best is to let them choose to discover your content, rather than 'force' them. The old saying don't put all your eggs in one basket will work for a long time and on that, I totally agree with you.

I guess this was some good information, but I expected this video to be about how AVOID getting de-monetized, or how to get re-monetized after it happens. It just happened to me, and I'm looking for advice about what to do next. My channel was humming right along, even improving, and then this hit me unexpectedly, totally out of nowhere. Unfortunately, I DID put all my eggs in one basket (AdSense) and this is my living. Now, not only am I not generating any more income, but I have about a month's salary sitting in AdSense that I cant get and maybe will never get. (there needs to be a lawsuit against that).
Once this happens, you lose partner support, including a partner manager, so just when you need them the most, anyone at YouTube that could help you, is now untouchable.
It's been a week now, and I really dont know what to do. This was my livelihood, I need to get my income started back up, or at least get what's in my AdSense account to hold me over for a month until I can make some alternative plans.
(Yes, I know it's all my fault for falling for the YouTube lies and propaganda of "making your hobby your career". I guess I learned my lesson, but that doesnt put food on my table now).

As much as we love Youtube, it's becoming more and more upsetting for creators- especially those trying so hard to make interesting content and doing things the right way. A few terrible apples keep ruining it for us all :( I've invested so much money to prepare for our last channel and always felt that as long as my content was safe, I should be ok. I was swept away inaccurately during the last ad pocolapse and lost a mini fortune I couldn't afford to lose. Now this. It feels like Youtube just protects the viewer (rightfully so) and the advertisers - but the creators who make all that possible are often treated like the bad guys.

BTW if a subscriber subscribed, they wanted to see your content. All these extra problems like making a viewer click subscribe, click a bell, choose 1 of 3 options and STILL not receive a notification is absolutely infuriating.

Tip #1: Ask permission before you start emailing/texting subscribers. There are Privacy Laws & Date Protection Acts that you do not want to in breach of.

Putting all your eggs in one basket is always a bad idea. Yet for myself as a professional dog trainer, I'm using YT and other SM sites to build my brand so I can grow my audience to potentially run seminars and courses. I'm also looking at setting up a Patreon acc in the next month or so. Great advice and love this channel.
