Given how Y6 ended with Koshimizu out of jail and leading the Yomei Alliance into a partnership with the Tojo, I don't think it's inconceivable that he may have a run-in with Ichiban and his crew one day. I, for one, would be all for that storyline.

It took me so long to realize this song is a more violent version of Collison of our souls from Yakuza 5, which at first confused me, then made so much more sense on what Kiryu is feeling in the moment.

Koshimizu felt like the true final boss, cause Iwami is hilariously easy. Which makes total sense, one is a hardened yakuza, the other is a whiny bitch

In my eyes, Koshimizu is the gigachad pawn of sugai and iwami.





Think about it, He spared matsunaga from being mutilated, and he had mercy for Kiyomi after watching Someya off himself, not long before becoming second chairman of the Yomei Alliance, simply because he didn't want to be a puppet under Tsuneo and Sugai's command and kill people who did nothing to them.

6 had the best finale in the whole series. Someone else explained it on a Lots of Lights video, but the way the game fakes you out with Someya at the end of the long battle even caught me off guard, and then only to see him get killed by Iwami and Sugai hurt BAD. And the actual finale of the game was, and I quote from the old commenter, “a desperate suicide mission by Kiryu and Nagumo into enemy territory to stop Iwami and Sugai at all costs.” The entire bit at Kurusu’s funeral had such an intimidating vibe to it, ESPECIALLY that cutscene before fighting Koshimizu with Kiryu and Nagumo beating the shit out of the remaining punks before reaching the 3 fuckers. It really felt like a last stand, “this is the end” moment. And then compare Lots of Lights’s badassery and DESTINY’s emotion to this track’s unhinged BRUTALITY and The Way of Life’s slightly calmer brutality, signifying how Kiryu may have let off some steam, but had some left over for someone special, and it really brings that point home.




TL;DR Yakuza 6 is the best game in the series and has the best finale fight me m8.
….Ok maybe not the BEST game in the series but it’s underrated for sure. I personally put it in my top 5.
