Botania is a magic based mod that uses various flowers and other flora in order to create mana!

This mana can be used for a variety of things such as transfiguration, fuel for functional flowers and even speaking to the Elves in another dimension.

There is also a skyblock type version of this mod called "The Garden of Glass"

The arcana flower's ability to suck XP out of you is actually a really usefull way to get a lot of mana. You can also use it to steal XP from your friends

For the slime flower, a swamp probably would still work because they still only spawn from slime chunks, the swamp just makes the spawning conditions more lenient.

Good idea . I never even thought about putting one next to a mob farm. You still have to kill them to get the exp I though.

In one modpack where I had a mod that could easily produce lava, thermalily became the flower of choice.

my mana spreaders won't put any mana into the runic altar :(
